Residential Lawn Care & Maintenance for Sugar Land Homes
Three generations of care for the yards of Sugar Land, Missouri City and Sienna — since 1994.
What a property needs from lawn care isn't generic. Soil, sun, slope, irrigation history and the habits of the previous crew all matter. Every yard has a context, and our job is to learn it — then maintain it consistently.
Three generations of family ownership, built on the belief that your home deserves a service company you can actually rely on.
Consistent Service, Three Generations Strong
Most homeowners have a story about a lawn company that started strong and faded. Different crews every week. Missed visits. Surprise charges. Calls that do not get returned.
That's not how we work. Your property is on a dedicated crew route, run on a consistent schedule. We're accountable to the family that's been doing this since 1994. When you call, you reach a real person. When something needs attention, we handle it.
Three generations. Same standard. Built to last.
Full-Service Residential Lawn Care
Every property is different — soil, sun, drainage, plants, your goals. Here's what we handle for homes across Sugar Land, Missouri City and Sienna.
Mowing, Edging & Blowing
Weekly mowing during peak growing season (May-October), bi-weekly during off-season. Clean edges along beds and walkways, crisp lines and full blow-down so your property looks intentional every visit.
Shrub & Tree Trimming
Shaping, pruning and maintaining the trees and shrubs that anchor your landscape. Scheduled to match the growth cycles of Houston-area plants — not on a generic calendar.
Fertilization & Weed Control
Custom fertilization schedules and weed control programs built around Fort Bend County's clay soil and summer heat. The right treatments at the right time of year.
Bed Maintenance & Mulching
Clean, defined garden beds with fresh mulch, crisp edging and consistent weed control.
Seasonal Color Rotations
Fresh flowers and seasonal plantings rotated to keep your beds vibrant in every season.
Storm Cleanup & Detail Work
Quarterly property cleanups, debris response after wind and rain, and storm cleanup — keeping your property tidy through every season. We coordinate larger-scale cleanup needs as they come up.

Why Fort Bend County Homeowners Choose Lawn John
30+ Years in This Market
Family owned since 1994. We know Fort Bend County's clay-heavy soil, summer heat patterns, chinch bug pressure and HOA standards. Three decades of working specifically in this climate means we know exactly what your property needs.
Crews That Stick Around
Our crew leads have been with us 15+ years. Ownership knows every team member personally and stays close to the day-to-day on every property. That continuity is rare in this industry.
Three Generations of Family Ownership
John started Lawn John in 1994. His daughter Monica ran the business with her husband Bill. Now their son William and daughter-in-law Ashlee carry it forward. The family standard hasn't changed in 30 years.
Fixed by the Next Visit

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — and there's no obligation. For most residential lawn maintenance, we can prepare an accurate estimate using professional mapping tools, often within a day or two of your request. For larger property work or landscape design, we schedule an in-person property walk.
What areas do you serve?
Our primary service area is Sugar Land, Missouri City and Sienna. We also maintain residential properties throughout Fort Bend County — including Stafford, Richmond, Rosenberg, Pearland and surrounding southwest Houston communities. If you're not sure your address is on our route, send it over and we'll let you know.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed and insured for residential work since 1994. Proof of insurance available on request.
Do you offer one-time service or only ongoing maintenance?
For lawn maintenance, no — we run a regular schedule with weekly visits during peak growing season (May-October) and bi-weekly through the off-season. That's how we keep properties consistent year-round. For landscape design and installation, we do handle single-project work — those are quoted separately.
How quickly can you start?
Let us know your preferred start date. Most new properties get on the schedule within one to two weeks. If you need to start sooner — closing date, turnover, vendor transition — tell us and we'll work to make it happen.
Will I always work with the same team?
Your property is on a dedicated crew route — the same team handles your address as part of a consistent schedule. You're not getting whichever crew has availability that day. And if there's ever a question or concern, it goes directly to ownership — not a customer service queue.
